In this picture you can see the bobbin shaft pulley. Its made from the same nylon and I used my drill press as sort of a lathe using a 1/4-20 bolt as a shaft. I used a wood rasp to make the 2 1/2 circle and a knife to cut the slot for the belt. Epoxied to the pulley is a neo magnet from Ace Hardware. It drives the counter. The counter is totally accurate except that it will count a revolution whether the wheel is moving forward or if you happen to need to back up the wheel to make a repair. It'll just count every time the magnet passes the reed switch. The reed switch can't be seen here but it is located on the other side of the red fiberglass sheet you see in front of the wheel.
