Chris Greene's photos: Cell phone camera for when you've got nothing else

Allied Model Trains was a wonderland to us kids back in the early 60's. They had a store on Pico Blvd. in West LA for years and years with a great sign on the roof. I'd noticed on recent trips they seemed to be out of business. Last summer I took a drive up Sepulveda from LAX to kind of run through one of the old neighborhoods and was surprised to find Allied Model Train hadn't gone out of business but moved to a new location. I parked and went inside and was thrilled to see the old sign from the old store leaning up in a corner of the store and grabbed this shot with my cell phone's 1 MP camera function.

It's not so much the photo as the lesson that if you like to take pictures sometimes any camera will do as long as you've got one.
