Round the edges of one side of the appropriate blade -- a few swipes of a file and/or sandpaper. Notch the rounded side (straight across, diagonally, diagonally opposed -- any notches seem to work). The closer together the notches, the more aggressive the cut, so you can make part of the blade fast cutting and part fine cutting. You can't really see the notches on the .010 blade.
They look like crap but they cut perfect slots. Very easy to use because they're short and stiff.
