Yes but its a big fat block. Not like the little skinny blocks that used to come in mim standards. Let us know if you change it and it actually makes a difference. Congrats on your new classic player.

Mine came with a gold aluminum pickguard. So no problem there although I prefer white plastic. Also not sure if my middle pickup is reverse wound. Same amount of noise pretty much in all positions.

Hi teemon, I haven't been able to get my photo's to work on this site. Don't know why or if I'm doing something wrong. I'll try this and see if it works.

Foggy.

Thanks tee. It's too nice to mess with the pickups. I'm going to try and get a standard to do the two 69's and SSL - 5

I wanted black and white for that one anyway.

Nice and i agree, the standard seems like a decent place to start for Modding the way you would like it.

Seems pretty easy to make a pretty nice Gilmour Strat from black and maple standard. Popular trend I think.

If you do get a nice steel block I am curious to know results. Its the only mod I am considering for my classic player.

I'll let you know, it's going to be a while before i buy one. Need to pay down the Sweetwater bill some first.

Change the pups and...

That's the plan for now i guess.

Hey teemon. I just ordered a black and white standard and the 69 pups to put in it. The rest I can change or not change over time.

We'll let you know how it turns out.

Foggy.

69 pups are in the mexi standard, nice improvement. Now need to learn more Gilmour lol!

Anyone know what the standard ceramic pups would be worth?
