"Sooooo...probably a setup thing and a "gettin'-used-to-it" thing."

I believe that's exactly what it is! Yeah, my fingers are bleeding now! ;-)

Viera, thanks for the tip, I'll try that here in the next few minutes.

Thanks guys.

Viera, I did the amp thing and it sounds pretty amazing!

Since yesterday I've been adjusting the truss rod, and that has helped with the action quite a bit. It's still high but better.

Good to hear. FWIW, I also have a PRRI. The V16 worked better for AE purposes. My AE was a Cole Clark Fat Lady.

I'm taking it in the 8th, when I get home from vacation. $50 for the setup.

It's an hour and a half from my house so he sets up an appt. and does it while I wait. Maybe he'll let me watch?

Took the guitar for its first setup. She did very well! My, my, what a difference. A little nut filing and saddle sanding and I had already adjusted the truss rod. So much easier to play!

Jhawkr, I played a T5z. If I could have afforded it, it would have come home with me. But, this Breedlove sounds great!

Thanks all.

Oh man don't remind me about the T5z. My local GC has a used T5z custom koa for just under $2K.

Glad you are getting along well with the Breedlove.

A proper set up makes a good guitar a great guitar. Let us know how it works out with the group.

As soon as I can play it in the group I'll let you know. Like I said, I'm the single coil player in the church band.
