I've finally decided to get a Seagull S12 Spruce Sunburst, $699 store price.

It features a cutaway, built-in PUP with tone and volume, and a tuner. Solid Sitka Spruce top with adirondack spruce bracing. The tapered tuning head is great for a 12-string with straighter string pull it allows for easier tuning, and greater tuning stability. Also the neck is not shaped like a canoe paddle, nor is the guitar neck-heavy.

Gloss finish, and not poly. I have a LaSido (Godin, like Seagull) dreadnaught gigbag that will fit it nicely.

I finally got a twelver (after almost a year). A used 2004 Martin DM-12, with a factory installed Fishman PUP. $460; no case, but I got a RoadRunner gigbag for it.

I brought it to a top-notch luthier (who prefers Martins) with 40 years experience, he said there were no problems with it at all.

3rd best twelve I have ever played. #1 was a Rhode Island Guild F512; #2 was my friends' Martin D12-28.
