The latest production AVRIs are cool. I have a '65 RI and can't fault it in anyway. I've done a lot of research since purchasing and it seems to be as accurate as humanly possible (taking into account probable variations with fender regular production during any time period). I'm thinking all the current production AVRI models would be built to the same high standards.

The one weighted factor when I bought my MiM was the neck. The neck is one of the silkiest necks I've ever encountered on a guitar, especially a strat which usually has been my experience to play a bit stiffer and harder than others. All else is stock and seems a slight tad less quality in parts than my MiA, but that neck.. Man.

I love that neck on that guitar and it just looks great in rosewood against the Vintage white.
