A few weeks ago, someone in our church sang a solo really well. I wanted to tell him he should have held his arm out and dropped the mike.

But I don't think he's worldly enough to have appreciated the comment.

They should drop the mic on mic drop. I thought it was already fading from the lexicon.

It's at least 10 years old at this point. When the old people like us know about it, it's already over.

Yeah. If I was the sound company doing the gig and some clown dropped one of MY mikes to be cool I would go up to the stage, slap him in the face as hard as I could, and tell him to pick it up and don't drop it again. If he does it again that mike is going to smell bad, he is going to walk funny, and I'll have to throw it away.

I don't get it.

stoopid

For me, the mic drop means.. "take that and shove it"

Disrespectful and self absorbed and grandstanding as well as self adulation and a feeble attempt to elevate one's status at the expense of others.
