Hot telecaster single coil I believe are in the 2011 MIM FSR tele I bought. I did not get it yet it is being shipped to me. Is the bridge pickup what I am looking for as far as Telecaster vintage sound from the 50-60 era or do I need to replace them? Are these junk?

"Telecaster vintage sound from the 50-60 era or do I need to replace them? Are these junk?"

Unless the FSR models had different pickups, the MIM's Standards come with ceramic bar pickups.
Typically a bit hotter and more "modern" sounding.

"Are they junk?"

There will be a great divide on this (and ceramic pickups in general IME). Some love 'em, others don't.
Whether they sound good is entirely up to you.
It seems like you have a particular sound in your head, but I would play it first and decide then. They might be just what you want.

If they're not "vintagey" enough for you, you don't have to go broke replacing them.
The Tonerider pickups are absolutely great value. Good tone, short money.

FWIW the VINTAGE PLUS - TRT1 are the OEM pickups in the Squier Classic Vibe 50's Tele and you can read countless posts about how great they sound.

So, probably not much help to you in the end, hey?
You cannot go wrong with the Tex Mex tele set either. I have a set in my Road Worn and it is the guitar that I would be stranded on an island with.

You can get a set for $52 new.

Lmrg21, do you remember if the pole pieces were staggered on it?
