About as ordinary as you can get.

We are in the process of moving 340 miles east and I have already checked out 3 music stores. At one small music store I noticed an older organ sitting out front with a "free" sign on it. The owner helped me load it and I quickly salvaged it out. It did not work but it had 25 Sylvania 12AX7's and 35 Sylvania 12AU7's plus 2-6L6's and a 5U4 in the power section. I can already tell the music stores in this area are not up on the surprises in things like old organs.

THAT is the guitar freak version of finding the proverbial shoebox filled with cash in the attic. Nice!

Nice score!!!

My next door neighbor had an old Leslie speaker/amplifier...he and his live in got into a huge fight and he split...but he left the Leslie.

she pushed it out to the curb..and I pounced on it like a hungry tick!..got 3 old Sylvania coke bottle type 6L6's, a couple of 5U4's and a bunch of pre amp tubes.....

my wife would have killed me if I dragged it into the house....sad that it got taken to the dump...oh the horror!!

This was a great find for tubes but a couple years ago I found an old Oregon tone cab that had 60 Ken-Rad 12AX7's dated 1949. I paid $50 but sold each tube for $30 each.

These tubes don't take up much room.
