This isn't really a lefty guitar post but all gear is played by a lefty. :o)<br /> <br /> It's a toss-up between a Boss Katana 50 or a Wampler Tape Delay. The Katana would replace my Vox AD30TV for home use. The Vox still works but the switches are getting flaky. The Wampler would replace either or both of the delay pedals on my gig rig. I play in church and neither current pedal has tap delay. The reviews on both products are stellar.<br /> <br /> Hmmm!

I've seen very few reviews on this pedal that are not maxed out.

You’ve gotten more miles out of that Vox than many. It ain’t gonna last forever. :-)

Ha! I've had it for many years for sure. When I bought it, my son was still playing guitar. He asked if he could check it out and I didn't play it again for about 3 years. lol!

I see you still use your Tone Press. Didn't you also use a Plimsoul?

I have asked for a wah pedal, Boss RC-3 Looper, Joe Perry Boneyard slide and an amp stand. It remains to be seen whether I get any of the above!

I didn’t ask Santa for any gear this year. I’m kinda flush right now. :-)

"I see you still use your Tone Press. Didn't you also use a Plimsoul?"<br /> <br /> Yep! I use the TonePress to quell the chirpiness of my amp for playing staccato rhythms. I like that it doesn't completely squash the tone like other compressors.<br /> <br /> I still have the Plimsoul but it's on-loan to the other guitar player. I replaced it with the Paisley Drive since the PD adds a different texture that I was missing. I'm thinking of adding back the Plimsoul and having three OD's. I'd remove the tremolo since I rarely use it.

I have deliberately been avoiding my semi-annual pilgrimage across town to Southpaws. :^)

I'd like to go there sometime. I've been to Houston many times but I always forget about it when I'm there.

I know the feeling, Texican. I'm only 40 miles from Jerry's Leftie Guitars.

You're old. Then vintage. Then good!

You don't have to live close to Southpaw or Jerry's to get caught up in lefty gas... (see the Guitar Count Thread here...).<br /> <br /> LM, get the Katana 50 and you'll get a tap tempo button for delay right on the amp...

This is about the only gear related item that's on my radar.

Mike, the Katana would be my home amp. The Wampler would be for my gig rig.<br /> <br /> I'm leaning toward the delay and then keep my eyes open for a used Katana as people start unloading them. The price should be fairly reasonable.

That's a plausible scenario. I've seen a 50 pop up on my local CL recently.

I've seen both 50's and 100's locally here too (if the Twin Cities are "local" for me two hours away). Check Reverb and CL...

Truth is I'd rather have the 100. So if I get the pedal now, I'm hoping to find a 100 on the cheap sometime later.

“Like”<br /> <br /> As much as I love my Vypyr, it won’t last forever. The last time I fired it up the footswitch acted a bit flakey and I rebooted the rig to fix it. <br /> <br /> I’m pretty sure a used Katana 100 will be its replacement. <br /> <br /> But I hate to lose the models I have set up in the Vypyr. The three OD models I use are glorious in their own right. A Marshall, a top-boosted AC30 and a Deluxe Reverb. The trinity of crunchy goodness.

Check this out! Last night, the wife and I had a date night that included a trip to GC to buy my Faux Echo pedal. An hour later, we were eating dinner at a restaurant when I checked FB for an expected reply. In my feed, there was a like-new Faux Echo for sale for $175...a $75 savings. The ad was only 23 minutes old. I had searched for a used one before buying new but couldn't find one.<br /> <br /> I just sent him the money and, if all is up to par when it arrives, I'll return the new one.<br /> <br /> I like saving $75. :o)
