I've been on the lookout for a nice Fender 5 string bass for a very long time.

I've been holding for a nice American at a killer price.

It finally happened 2 weeks ago when I found this '94 Fender Jazz V Plus bass in a pawnshop.

They were asking $255, but I got them to sell it to me for $203.99 plus tax.

I'm really happy with the EMG active pickups.

I always like reading about folks getting new gear and it's even more fun getting update reports about how things went on the gig.

Nice bass, by the way.

George

That's awesome, and I would have snagged it too! I checked one out a few years ago, but it was "well used" and the asking price was way too high. I liked the neck though.

I joined the fiver club in early 2008, and they are darned useful for certain things. In fact, I'd say my current fiver, a G&L M-2500, has become my go-to bass.

That's cool Nedmundo.

I'd been looking a VERY long time for the right deal on a 5'er, and I guess I was just at the right place at the right time.

G&L makes killer guitars and basses.

I've to an older vintage G&L F-100II Strat.

It's very well made, just like all of the G&L stuff.

Pretty,

Probably priced low due to being modded.

Std pups are Lace Sensors, and a Fender/Kubicki preamp.

Should sell for $700 or higher.

I'm not sure is was priced like that due to being modded.

I'm sure it was most likely priced like that cause they weren't really sure what it was.

I've seen guitars in pawnshops that were modded, but if it was a well known brand that they could identify, they'd price it like it wasn't
