The lease holder of our house gig venue died on the operating table.
She was a friend first and a boss second.
I mixed, the wife played keys, whistle and violin.
About 25 people are out of work.
This hits Marg and I particularly hard because it means two incomes to one home are gone.
Right before Christmas.

RIP Debbie Welch.

First condolences on the loss of your friend. I know you recently lost another from your circle so this must seem like a triple whammy; 2 friends and a gig.

Any chance someone else can/will pick up the lease and continue the venue?

Wow, very sorry to hear it!!! Not just the income loss, but I'm assuming you both enjoyed what you did, also! Hopefully you'll be able to find a similar gig somewhere close.

Thanks everyone.

It's been a rough few weeks.

It gets worse....my best friend's younger brother died. He was the principal of the high school my best friend and I attended.
My best friend's wife has pancreatic cancer and will die soon.

Then we get into the comparatively trivial stuff.

Sewer backed on the rental side of our duplex.
Both kitchen sink drains on our side basically fell apart.
Rad, water pump, fan clutch on my Jeep went for a Schit.
Wood guy is late.

I won't forget this fall/early winter.

Thanks again.
Roly
