You're old. Then vintage. Then good!

I bought a Takamine ETN40C-L 12-string a few weeks ago; very nice MIJ model, neck straight as an arrow, decent tone and very good on board electronics (even though I HATE barn doors on nice wood guitars).

Should do a string change on it ... NOT looking forward to that...

...and, I'm drooling over the idea of a custom Martin acoustic build ... it would be a 0000/J model (basically an OM on steroids - a 16" lower bout and dreadnought depth).

Other options to beef up the tone and volume would be a larger (Tony Rice style) sound hole and forward shifted scalloped braces - maybe 1/4" (like on a D-35) rather than 5/16" (like Martin dreads).

It would be a mahogany body, and have the other specs/cosmetics of the new (post 2012) Martin D-18). Haven't priced it out yet. But my local mom n pop shop have always treated me right.

If we didn't have so many doctor bills, I'd add a new tele.

I bought a used amp, but I guess that doesn't count!

To be truly a left-handed amp, all the controls need to read 10 to 0, clockways.

You know the rule: "righty quiety--lefty loudy."
