I'm a fan of that philosophy.

But I'm just not hungry in the morning, and never have been. I have heard this advice all of my life but it never made sense to me to eat when I didn't feel like eating. It's not only that I'm not hungry, but food seems very unappealing in the morning hours.

When I had to get up early and go to school and, later, work, I didn't have much appetite either. But now, I get up when I want and eat when I want. I don't usually have breakfast until 10-11 AM.

Maybe if you ate less later in the day you would be hungry in the morning?

I love a big breakfast and usually it is eggs and meat, sometimes avocado.

I'm diabetic and if I don't eat my liver will pump out glucose and raise my blood sugar. Eating good protein and fats in the morning seems to turn off the internal glucose production.

If I don't eat breakfast I'm good until around noon/1pm, then I get a bit hungry. If I eat breakfast that has any sugar or carbs, I'm shaking by noon or 1pm.
