Here's pics and video from yesterday's hike in Shenandoah National Park. This hike focused on a couple old cemeteries inside the park and a couple sections of the Old Spotswood Trail that crossed the mountain at Swift Run Gap. The trail is named after Virginia Lieutenant Governor Alexander Spotswood (1676 - 1740). In 1716 he led the Knights of the Golden Horseshoe Expedition up the Rappahannock River valley and across the Blue Ridge Mountains at Swift Run Gap into the Shenandoah Valley to expedite settlement. I hiked the east side of this trail last year.

Yea, unless something changes fast. I guess you can tell from my vid the leaves are falling regular now on the mountain. There's a SNP web cam at Pinnacles looking down the mountain, I'll see it I can find the link.
