I've been working on this style, I found a thumb pick a bit longer than most of them, it still gets hung up once in awhile. With practice It'll be OK. <br /> <br /> I've played the six string with the thumb and three, occasionally four fingers since I partially paralyzed my right arm back in 1978. Strumming for me doesn't come from my elbow, that Bicep is gone as well as some of the shoulder muscles. I use the wrist and a flamingo style of strumming. It's lame, I pretty much only play bass in public unless there's a campfire "o)

There used to be a guy named Chet that did pretty well with a thumbtack............
