What's the best product to use on the nickel hardware on my Gibby 335?

Simichrome??

Any metal polish will do, they're all just very fine abrasives and cleaners. I like Nevr-Dull wadding polish because it doesn't leave any liquid or paste residue.

Whatever you use, tape off the painted finish around your metal part (if you're leaving it on the guitar). Many metal polishes have solvent/detergent components that can soften nitro lacquer.

Poly finishes are not susceptible to this problem.

Good idea PG. Simichrome it will be. I haven't seen Flitz anywhere in years but then again, I've not been searching.

Thanks all!
Flitz paste in the tube is my choice. I just got a tube from Ace.
