Friend's kid needed some cash and was having no luck selling the electric he didn't play (still has an acoustic and it keeps him happy).

I certainly didn't need it, and never would have gone out of my way to buy one...but...I now have a BC Rich Son of Beast.

It's got red bat inlays, and yes, a coffin case.

I'm spoopy in time for Halloween!

For a cheapie, it plays fairly well even if it's even more of a one-trick pony than my other bridge-bucker-only monster.

Wow, that is actually kinda awesome, in its own pointy way.
Is there room to add a tone control?

No longer available, so you got lucky!

There are some on ebay for $813, so hopefully you paid less than that! ;)

I can't believe that none of you mentioned 'KISS'.
There was one reference to a bat, OZZIE! Lol
It did come with a disclaimer: Caution, handle at your own risk!
Actually a really sweet looking guitar for what it is.
You can play music and crowd control, at the same time! Lol

Enjoy your new guit-fiddle, but be very careful!
Just trying to tune it may cause injury.

Spoopy, a reference to an internet meme of old.

There would be room to add a tone control if I wanted, the control cavity is full sized on the back end. Strangely, it's voiced well enough I'm not missing much - it's sharp and mean with stainless strings, but...it's not Jaguar with strangle switch on crack through a bright-switched Twin bad.

And I paid far less than the ludicrous ebayers, but a bit more than I would have normally but it wasn't really to buy the guitar to have it but more to help the kid out.

I have also avoided injuring changing strings and doing setup (minor), but....I didn't avoid language that would make a sailor cry a few times as I am not a fan of playing fish the string through body on guitars.

I am.

But I'm not allowed to pull out the synth at the same time.

Then I'd need several capes and a Mellotron.
