That's "New to Me Les Paul Day."

A few weeks ago I tried out a STOTD Epiphone Les Paul Pro, but it just wasn't the right one. However, it did remind me that after twenty years I still really wanted a Lester.

I went out today and did the music store crawl to look for a used LP that rung my bell, I figured the Labor Day sales would be useful. And it worked out!

I found an absolutely mint 2016 Studio T that turned me on for a really good price, about 65% of typical Reverb pricing. It's not overly heavy and is very resonant. I normally wouldn't have considered a white one, but this is a nice warm white and not that super stark bluish hue I usually see on Les Pauls.

That really was the last hole in the closet - there aren't any other guitars I've been wanting. Does this mean we are reaching singularity?

Sweet! Get your Mick Ronson licks down. You'll need 'em with that smokewagon!

Nice score. Where did you get it? I'm out west toward the Quad Cities.I had one that I left out of the case on a stand that turned a nice shade of ivory. Or maybe more like banana pudding? Ok, now I want pudding.
Enjoy your guitar, Mr. Duty.

Too Much GAS

Excuse me while'st I wipe the drool off my shirt. I have a LP that the case smells like vanilla too. I also have a Custom Shop CS356 that the case smells like some petrochemical that would cause some severe form of cancer.

I have a "thing" for white guitars. Always liked the look of them. Especially when paired with gold hardware.

ninworks, white is a recent thing for me - I picked up a EBMM Stingray 5 in white a few months ago, and the color has really grown on me. I've always enjoyed new case smell, but this one is exquisite.

I was talking with the store manager about the color, and they're not sure why it's warmer than most. He said they could usually tell when a guitar has been stored in a stand exposed to the light, and this one doesn't have any of those telltales. Also, the guitar itself still smells like the case which makes them think it stayed in the dark all the time.

They sold it new originally about 10 months ago and it has what looks like the original strings - and they're still bright! Seriously, it's cleaner than many of the new stock guitars, not even any swirlies.

Now I'm looking at smallish Marshall combos... DSL40C, anyone?

The love being given to the Boss Katana amps is making me reconsider what I need in a combo for this and my other cheese slicers...
