Got the promo from Sweetwater this morning and ordered immediately! Been planning on buying one for months but hesitated at the $169 price. @ $99 it's the same price as the little skinny one! There may be better digital delays out there but probably not for $99! I've been very happy with all the TC pedals I own. I don't imagine the supply of Flashbacks @ $99 will last long...

These are the newer models with Toneprint.

The TC Electronic Flashback is an excellent delay. I tried replacing mine with a Strymon El Capistan, but ultimately put the Flashback back on my pedalboard.

I just use the modulated delay setting for long delays (I use an MXR Carbon Copy for slap back).

They are clearing out the remaining inventory of FB because the latest version (Flashback 2) is out.
Ditto for the Hall Of Fame Reverb! I'm tempted to make it a double whammy!

I ordered a HOF Reverb as well. They are back-ordered but guarantee the price. Flashback is already on its way. The HOF will come in handy with my Mahalo Katy 66, Vox MV50 AC and my old 1967 Bandmaster, none of which have reverb.

I have the TC Electronic Flashback, HOF, Corona Chorus and Viscous Vibe pedals, along with the Polytone Tuner.

They make fantastic pedals, often better than boutique units.

Listen with your ears, not your wallet. (:oD

I've got a Flashback, a Flashback Mini, and a HOF Mini - all excellent pedals.
Oh, and a Polytune.

Now I'm wondering if I should grab a full-size HOF at the sale price.

....what Peegoo said....

"The HOF will come in handy with my Mahalo Katy 66, Vox MV50 AC and my old 1967 Bandmaster, none of which have reverb."

The HOF is a great reverb pedal.
I actually prefer it to the on-board spring unit in my tube amps!
When I first got it, I A/B'ed it with the long Accutronics reverb in my YCV-40T and the HOF won hands down.
I think mainly because I can control & shape it more with the Decay, Level & Tone and not merely "more or less" (0-10).

If I didn't have all my delay requirements met, or if my MXR CC or Malekko Ekko 616 died, I'd be going for a Flashback.

Since my Line 6 DL-4 died, I'm thinking of getting a EHX Canyon delay which has a lot of great sounds for relatively cheap.

Otherwise, I "just" have the original Flashback, the MXR Carbon Copy and a Maxon AD999.

jhakwr, one of the problems I ran into with all of my TC toneprint pedals was having my speaker volume too high when using the phone app. Really drove me insane! I have a HOF mini and well my phone output was too loud for it and I could not get the print sending to work. Their support is awesome BTW. The volume on your guitar should be high when doing this but not the phone volume.

I have lots of TC pedals and love them all!

I have the HOF mini and use it a lot. There is a toneprint setting that I find gives me the reverb that I want and I genrally stick to it although I'm sure there are others that could be useful.

And now - thanks to Jhawkr, (enabler) :-) I have a Flashback headed my way. I don't see it replacing my Strymon El Cap but I do see it giving me other options without having to change settings on the Strymon. AND- at a great price. I don't have any use for the "mash" feature of the newer Flashback 2.

(ordered through the FDP Sweetwater link).

I presently have the TC FB on my board and like it a lot. I generally have it set on the Reverse mode.

But I have that last slot on the board open with a bungee cord and interchange that spot with a Boss DD7 or the MXR Carbon Copy depending on my mood. They're all good.

I''ve evolved to a simple set up. The Polytune, Fulltone and Strymon Deco are permanent and always on. The DD7 is there about 70% and the TC the rest of the time.

I might change out the the drive pedal between the OCD or and 808 depending on the rig. Currently I moved away from my Tele to a Strat and my amp from a CVR to a DRRI.

In my current band I'm the primary lead solo guy and somebody else does the rhythm. So it seems that rig suits me better.

It means there is no holy grail pedal. You have to think of the entire signal chain and what you are going for.

They make beautiful sounding products. The Hall of Famer reverb is very good too.

Any first impressions on your Flashback? Have you found a particular setting that gives you something you like? I've had a little time with mine and found a setting that I like a lot although I'm still experimenting. With any pedal, I tend to find something that works for me and leave it there.

Haven't tried to load a toneprint yet but will eventually give that a go also.
