It's for fans of a Japanese cartoon series called BECK:Mongolian Chop Squad. The bullet-ridden Les Paul is named Lucille.

Don't ask me why, it's a Japanese thing.

I think the question should be, "why wouldn't you?"

When it comes to pop culture, anything is marketable if a market is created. It's not wrong simply because you don't agree with it.

You don't need a peestola to blow the headstock off a Gibson.

All ya gotta do is look at it funny.

That's why mine are never ever in gig bags.

It's just a guitar, not rocket science.

Is that what real bullet holes would even look like in a LP body, especially in the pickguard? Not that it matters, I guess.

Depends o caliber, how the guitar was braced, distance, etc.

My guess is cosmetics and drilling, given that shooting things in Japan is...difficult given laws.

You could potentially have holes like that on the front...yes...depending upon distance and caliber. But the backside of the guitar would certainly be shattered in a big way.

"Shattered...Sha-Doobie. Shattered...shattered."

I still cant get over it! I suppose its one way to buy a cheap les paul that price equates to about $1000.

Thankfully i already own one sans the holes

now if it had marks in it from an axe i'd be all over it

Looks like after a gig at the old J.J.'s Lounge at Crump and Mississippi blvd in Memphis.

A seriously dangerous juke.

I've played there twice and swore NEVER to go back.

And that was back in my younger days when I was awfully naive..

By Grabthar's Hammer, what a savings.

It'd be heavier than a regular one. There aren't any holes in the back, so it's full of lead.
