If you're a Stew Mac customer, you're going to get a request to fill out a survey.

It will give you a 10% discount code at the end, so it's actually worth it.

We, as a society, are over-surveyed. Now they're resorting to $.

Most requests come from email and I delete. StewMac I'd probably complete certainly for 10% off. Time to stock up on nut and saddle blanks. I did a phone survey for AT&T at work, our ISP and cell vendor, a couple of years ago and got a $50 stipend. The check was made payable to me personally. Yes, I cashed it.

The nice thing was that it was automagically applied to my account once I signed in.

When I shop at Winn-Dixie the receipt gives me an opportunity to do an on-line survey each time. $5 off the next purchase over $40.

Then again, I buy more groceries than I do Stew-Macadoodles.

I got the aforementioned email survey today too.

I do have an account with Stew Mac, but in the majority of cases, their shipping costs make it cost prohibitive. I'll have to do some math and see what 10% would do for me, but I'm don't really need anything atm.

However I'm lucky that I have an online tool seller that works out of his home a few miles from me and stocks quite a few Stew Mac items and he can order anything I want from them (and pick it up at his place without paying extra postage).

It's worked out cheaper ordering through him so far. Not by huge margins but hey, a buck's a buck and it's part of the "local economy".
