Any love for that one out there? Seems interesting for classic rock. And the price is right.

I think there was a big thread on those here.

Thanks Leftee, I always forget to look first.

I suck at it but it is still fun!

I love mine.

Edited to add that I am not into heavy distortion and my other pedal is a DS-1 (Boss) both pedals are cheap and do what they do quite well.

The dark matter is well worth the $40 I paid for it, about $40 for the boss as well.

I sold mine to a fellow FDP'er who seems happy with it.

It's not just good..

...it's good enough.

I've got the MojoMojo from tc electronics - I think it's supposed to be kinda like the lower-gain brother of the Dark Matter pedal.

I really like it as a versatile OD/Distortion box. I bought it to have a stand-alone drive pedal to grab when I didn't want to bring a pedal board - and it more than meets my needs.
The $50 price tag pushes the "bang-for-buck" off the charts.

Based on that, I'd say the Dark Matter is definitely worth picking up.

I'm the fellow FDP'r that Pinetree was referencing in his post. The Dark Matter is a really good pedal that marries well with the other OD pedals I use. I tend to rotate it on/off the board depending on my mood at the moment. It will always be in the rotation as I love its versatility.

FWIW... It works fine on my board. My Tumnis gives it a nice boost though. Tumnis, Dark Matter, Corona Chorus and Carbon Copy are real sweet through the Blue's Jr.

Foggy.
