About as ordinary as you can get.

We just got back from a little trip down through the Texas Hill Country. First day I found a very clean and working Peavey Classic 50, 4-10. Couldn't believe the price, $59. I thought something must be wrong with it but it worked great. Couldn't pass it up. Another heavy amp added to my collection.

Yikes!! Those are heavy. But they are great amps. That's an incredible score.

Crazy find! Congrats!<br /> <br /> I have no need for such a beast but I would have bought it at that price as well.

I'd buy one of those for $2 a pound.

Drop some Jensens or Webers in there and it will sound fantastic! Great score!

Congrats on a killer find.<br /> <br /> I believe that Texas is the KING when it comes to pawnshop scores on musical gear.<br /> <br /> I find at least 2-3 amazing scores every year and a lot of other great gear scores all year long.

OK, I'll be the bad guy.<br /> <br /> Is this the tweed version with EL84 tubes?<br /> If so, this is stupid cheap.<br /> So.......Why?<br /> Does it still have the serial number on it?<br /> Was there anything wrong with it? (In your OP you said that it worked.)<br />

"OK, I'll be the bad guy.<br /> <br /> Is this the tweed version with EL84 tubes?"<br /> <br /> <br /> Eminence codes date speakers to '94.<br /> <br /> Yes, tweed with EL84 tubes. I can't get the reverb to work but I have not spent much time with it yet.

That was my gigging amp back in my club days, that thing was amazing. Both in sound and as pointed out, in weight. <br /> <br /> I think I paid $300 for mine, the good tweed one, back in 1994-95.

Why do I keep fixing things that work?

Still looking for one of those amps, but locally. <br /> It would be either that one or the Classic 30. <br /> But either way, I'd be remiss if I didn't pile on the envy factor!<br /> Very nice, indeed!

Other than the silly buss wires that break, these are very good.
