Has anyone tried one of these? Price per watt is excellent. Tone is said to clean and nice and tight.
I can't afford one right now but maybe sometime in the future.
The BV1001T has 3 tube preamp and Class D Mosfet output rated 2000 Watts and only 6 lbs. The BV1001M is Mossfet Class D with solid state preamp ($100 cheaper than the tube model) and said to be warm, clear and clean sounding. Oh well, I can dream can't I?
Local dealer has these in stock, and is a fan.

Fired them up for me briefly, and they sounded quite good on a short demo.

2000W for $500, and class D - we really live in the best of times for bass amplification. I always carry my 500W GK MB500 head in my gig bag pocket. I'll never forget how I used to schlep around a heavy 70W tube head and 2x15" cab, and I could barely be heard with a drummer without the amp farting out.

GK is good stuff.I had a GK 700 RBII (500 watt RMS)Head that I loved but it weighed 27 lbs. And being in my mid 60's with 2 back surgeries I went for a Genz Benz Streamliner 600 (6lbs 600 watts RMS) and will fit in the large outside pocket of my Gig Bag. Yes sir we live in the best of times as far as technology goes. Other stuff, not so much LOL ;)
