I would definitely check out this Custom Shop Telecaster down at Willies!

I think from a straight forward value position this is the better buy.

Well if I WERE a rich man, I would get them both!

That *is* a beautiful guitar.

Thanks for the lead. (However, too rich for my blood as well.)

Dang you johnny1111!!! I knew I shouldn't have clicked on your links.

The amp is my "desert island" amp. Nothing beats a 59 Bassman.

The Tele is one of my 2 favorite color schemes. I'm not a fan of relics, but this one appears to be tastefully done. I would prefer a closet classic.
"If I were a rich man..."

Indeed, you'd have to be flush with extra cash to justify either one of those!

I was just in Willie's two weeks ago today - I was more tempted by a couple things in the acoustic room...and both were less than HALF what those two items list for!

Neat guitar, though I'm sticking with my belief that $1000 is the maximum worth for a guitar that can be taken apart and put back together with a couple of screw drivers. Don't get me wrong, I love teles. But in terms of craftsmanship, the tele is the simplest and easiest to make. Nice work if you can get it though.

Gotta agree with Twang, but I'm willing to tack on a few Benjamins for quality sake. I'm eternally grateful for Leo Fender and his inventions, but that's a disposable income item. Congrats to those who can afford it. It IS a beaut.
