So I just got one of these. Is it normal for the volume to have this big jump between 4 and 5? From 1 to 4 my amp is fairly quiet, then from 4-5 there's a big range of volume increase (as well as breakup) and from there on out the overdrive increases, along with volume, but not that fast.

Just wonder if that's the normal way the volume tapers on these things.

Other than that the cleans are awesome, and of all the overdrive pedals I've tried to push it a bit I'm really digging the Xotic BB. Past 7 on the volume the 10" speaker has a hard time handling the neck and middle positions on my tele, which I suppose is to be expected too.

Any feedback is appreciated.

The sweet spot on my '66 Princeton Reverb is volume at 4, treble at 8 and bass at 9! Sounds pretty extreme but that's where it sounds the best. I copied this off Mr. Jim Campilongo.

Anymore than 4 and the gain starts kicking in. Im not a big fan of gain on the PR but from 4-6 you get a nice breakup which sounds very musical. Anything above six sounds brittle to me. Volume at 4 is where it's at!

I also notice a significant jump in volume roughly between 4 & 5, then a more gradual increase beyond 5. My favorite spot is between 6 & 7 adjusting the guitar volume as needed.

Yes - between 4 and 5 (or right at 5, depending on your amp) is where the volume jump is noticeable.

Consider setting it right above the "jump" spot and adjusting the volume knob/s on your guitar - you just might find a new sweet spot...

If I am at "7" on volume my bass is at 2-3 and treble is 8-9. Nice amp though overall
