Is it just me or does it bug anyone else that virtually all new Fender Strats and Teles that have the walnut truss rod plug come from the factory with damage to the plug from what is obviously someone in a hurry with an Allen wrench? It's amazing to me that an otherwise flawless instrument cosmetically typically gets slightly buggered by this procedure.

No, that is not acceptable. A new guitar should be in new condition.<br /> <br /> You're not being grumpy by complaining to the seller about it. If if bugs you, return it. Be firm, but be nice.

Mine 2016 AMS tele has some signs of wear on the inside but nothing major.<br /> Can you post a photo? just curious.<br />
