Can anyone recommend a replacement that is as close in looks and ohm rating to an original volume pot for a Fender Blackface amp? Thanks

A CTS-brand pot, available via the Amplified Parts link above.

Get one that matches the schematic for your amp (correct rating, correct taper). Also check to see what the shaft is on the original pot, because the replacement needs to match the original control knob (knurled or smooth shaft).

It's speced as 1Meg smooth solid shaft but I don't know the taper. Were do you find the taper without pulling it and testing it. I thought they were all audio taper.

Blackface volume pots were audio (logarithmic) taper.

If you look deep enough you will find that some manufacturers offer different types of audio or log taper but for practical purposes you won't notice the difference.
The page linked below is what you need. Select the 1M version when ordering.

Thanks everyone for your help, these CTS pots aren't expensive at all, I would have thought they were. I have seen a few of these pots and even though they have the same ohm resistance the tolerances were speced different.
