Hi all
I have a 1991 strat with the artist pallet logo on the neck, pocket and rear of the headstock. I always wanted a matching tele as the strat is superb in every way and I found a 1991 CS tele which looks great. THe neck pocket has the artist pallet logo and the neck certainly seems to match the guitar and the seller got the guitar new but it has no logo on the rear of the headstock. It was a custom order and he got it from the store, new here in Europe.
A couple of pics here

http://c2.staticflickr.com/6/5667/31036711105_0cbf583b47_b.jpg
http://c6.staticflickr.com/6/5570/30922677021_d58441f4dd_b.jpg
http://c8.staticflickr.com/6/5667/31050226655_73ae0c0f67_b.jpg

Any thoughts? Did they always have a logo on the rear of the headstock? Thanks!
I am not an expert but it looks like an early CS to me. Contact John Page, who was CS manager back then. He probably built that very Telecaster.

Early CS. Art Esparza was a builder. He's still out there making guitars for other companies.

It's possible that the guitar might not have a decal on the headstock. If it would have a decal, it would look like the oval stamp in the neck pocket.

Danny
