Doesn't the standard AV Tele (that sells for $1995 or so MAP) get you most of the way there, including the larger neck profile?

They offer it in lefty - I'd go that route. (And I saw one on Reverb here in the USA for around $1K).

Mikey already own a 52RI and though nice just never bonded fully with the neck shape and radius.

Don't get me wrong a 60's c with 7.25rad board is fine and I like them

but this Custom shop has a thick c neck and 10in board which I really like on my 55 Custom Shop Strat.

Peegoo. You're not helping ..................;)

Get yourself a new neck for your 52RI from Warmoth. It's a whole lot cheaper than the CS 52 Tele.

Does that help? :^)

I think Texican's option sounds like a winner, if you don't HAVE to have a 100% "made by Fender" guitar. I've got 7-8 Warmoth necks around here (paired with Warmoth bodies) - they have various specs, and they're all excellent.

Hey Tex not a bad option,

Did a quick build if it get a finished neck to specs with shipping $470USD

Unfinished with ship $360USD then I got to finish it and do all the work involved.

So i'd get it finished if I was going to go that way I don't have the time to do any finish work at the moment

That works out to about 17% of the price of the brand new custom shop tele which I can get for $2690USD inc shipping.

the custom shop tele is also about 1 pound lighter than the 52 I already own.

decisions, decisions,

LRO, something else to consider--If you replace the Fender neck and don't have a need for it, you could probably sell it for a pretty good price.

Edit--Since the lefty market is limited, you could advertise it as suitable for an easily modified reverse headstock.

Tony's right - and I might be an interested customer for that neck - I've played them and like them pretty well (don't mind the round radius, etc.

Of course, shipping charges would be crazy...

I'd keep the neck anyway if I sold the guitar down the track it would get me a better return.

Wow the lefty forums getting some traffic, I wonder when Ragtop is going to stop by there's an open invite
