Hi, I am looking for inefficient speaker recommendations for the Super Champ X2.

The WGS Vet 10 or Weber Alnico Sig10s were recommended. So I might probably give the Vet 10 a try.

Are there any users of this combination here? How would you rate this upgrade? Has someone tried any of the other Weber Sigs in this amp?
Hallo boneshaker!

Ich wohne auch in D., halte es hier aber mal lieber in Englisch ;-)

A while ago I had the chance to extensively a/b some Weber-signatures and Jensen reissue-speakers.
They were all "in the ballpark" with a slight nod towards the Webers, because they sounded a bit smoother overall.

Given the fact that Webers are quite expensive on this side of the (great) pond, I´d say a Jensen RI C10R or P10R (or the new/ish P10RF) would do just as good.

cheers - C.

I have a Jensen C10R in mine and it sounds really good. I've never cared for Weber speakers, but that's just me.
I've tried the speakers you mentioned and couldn't sell them fast enough.

Hello Boneshaker. I have a ragin Cajun in my ScXd. If you want loud enough to gig, I highly recommend it. Enjoy the journey.

Want to ruin the sound of any Fender amp, install a Ragin Cajun. Sounds just like a Celestion which is fine for British sounds.

When I owned this amp, I also changed out the speaker to and fairly generic but heavier Eminence. That helped a bunch.

The Jensen Mod series are not super efficient, and they are reliable units. Very affordable, too.

I have a Mod 10-35 in my Super Champ XD. Works well.
