Will bad plate resistors in a Bassman 100 SF cause a buzz on the e string and the other strings as well but real bad on the E? I have eliminated everything possible except the amp trying to solve this problem.

You might get better results in the "Amps, Mods, Repairs section"<br /> <br /> However there are a few folks here such as Steve Dallman that could probably help

Are you sure it's the Bassman? <br /> <br /> Could it be somewhere else along the signal chain?<br /> <br /> George

I have eliminated everything (except a Tube) I went to Guitar City and played thru their speakers and the bass is fine. I removed the speaker back and checked for a loose wife or bad cone or loose speaker or loose vibrating anything.........It's the amp.

When you say you went to Guitar City and played through their speakers, I am assuming you used your head right? If so then it is not the head. It would have to be a speaker OR the cab itself. Are you sure it is not something in the room you are playing in such as hollow core doors etc?
