A little pricier than DiMarzio Area J's, wonder if they're worth it.

I'd like more quiet and maybe something a little livlier than what I'm getting from my Fender Custom Shops. Strictly for DI recording.

I looked for these on the SD site and couldn't even find them...strange.

Hmmm. Here's a link for them at FDP Sponsor Sweetwater.

They certainly look promising, but that's the point of ad copy, isn't it?
Someone will have to be the first to try them.

Do they also come in a 5 string version?

I do have a set on the way from Sweetwater. Once installed I'll post back. Probably not the best guinea pig. I'm primarily a guitarist/home recordist so all my evaluation will be recording DI. It's weird, way back in the day when I had a Tascam Portastudio cassette 8 track, I loved the results I got recording an old Gibson RD Standard that I used at the time. A nice round sound as best as I can describe. With this Jazz I've already been through the stock MIM pickups to 62 reissues. Ah well, I love the smell of solder in the morning.

The neck pickup is a few mils longer than the pickup cavity of both my MIM Jazz and the 62 RI replacement body I received. Both cavity and pickguard will require some attention. I'll post an update as I move on.
