I scored a new Baja Tele today at Guitar Center for 15% off the regular price. This is a steal for what seems like a great Tele.

The only thing I don't care for is having the truss rod adjustment at the neck heel. However, my experience has been that maple necks with maple fretboards are more stable and need less truss rod tweaking.

I've always wanted a blonde/butterscotch blackguard Tele. I like the modern features on this model, particularly the neck, fretboard radius and fretwire.

I also have a black rosewood fretboard American Series Tele with a Tele Lil '59 in the bridge. I wanted something more twangy this time around.

What you really needed was another Strat. What the heck were you thinking? :-)

I do like those Bajas. Vintage look with modern features.

Nice 5!
Does that the Twisted Tele neck pickup?
If so, they're a great sounding neck pup.

Btw, gentle reminder re: FDP Rule #37...

5Strats, The Baja is a *great* Telecaster.

You've been around long enough to know about Rule #37, Counselor.

Bad form for a vested partner.

Wow, I changed strings this afternoon and fired it up again and this is simply a great guitar! Super twangy. The neck profile is really cool, not too beefy, not too insubtantial

Peegoo -I'm so far behind in taking photos of new guitars it's just stupid. Can file a motion for waiver of Rule #37? (:oD

I love my Desert Bland...err, Desert SAND Baja Tele. The neck pickup is the most usable Tele pickup I've ever had, and the S-1 Switch lets you add some unique/ballsier tones to the mix. I took off the single ply white pickguard off of mine and put on a Bakelite black guard, and it looks much better. Congratulations on your new Tele!
It came with a bag, but I bought a HSC for my Baja. I've never been a fan of gigbags.

Generally speaking...even with the gigbag...I think the Baja is the best priced, best playing, best sounding guitar in Fender's lineup. You get a whole lot with this guitar for a very reasonable price.

i've been wanting a baja for a while, so i took a guitar i don't play enough to a guitar show today with the hope of trading for one.

i found two bajas, one in my favorite finish -- vegas gold. however, *both* of them had had the electronics ripped out and replaced with standard tele electronics. takes all kinds.
