The stamp on the butt of the neck doesn't look right to me. I've never owned a Tele Deluxe but this date stamp looks wrong. What do you think?
Craigslist ad.

Sorry, I couldn't find my Fender Telecaster book but I did find that exact neck marking in the book. It is real.

$1800. That is well below what they are going for all over Ebay. The Vintage Guitar Price guide says $2800-3200.
I talked to one of my friends this morning and he said he was going to buy this guitar.

If it's all working, that is a great price. Even if it needs frets--snap it up.

Beautiful. I've never played a tele with humbuckers. Looks amazing.

Not sure, but those frets look kinda big. I think the original had medium jumbos.

I played my first gig at age 14 with a borrowed new Tele Deluxe exactly like that one.

Encourage your friend to buy this beast. Then proceed to borrow it for extended periods of time.

Uhh, give me a bit more time.....need to put new strings on for you so they are fresh.

BTW, I'm thinking about getting a Freshman. So, can I check out your Freshman before I commit? Should just be for a bit.
