Due to a lady turning in front of my on my motorcycle, I will be using a prosthesis on my left foot. I am walking through the scenarios of what it will be like to play the drums using the prosthetic. It will be a below the knee amputation so I will have the full function of the upper leg and knee. Historically the left leg is for the hi-hat and I tend to work it off the ball of the the foot. Does anyone here have any experience with similar situations. Thanks, Willie T (Super Mario)

Dang, sorry to hear of your accident. I have no experience with drums in your circumstance but I would think the hat would be fairly easy to adjust to. If you can keep your foot centered on the pedal and a little bracketry could do that, I think you will be ok.

A near life long friend and bass player had his right arm blown off below the shoulder by a shotgun blast in a hold up, mid 70s. He began playing Chapman stick one handed as a bass instrument once Chapman began producing that instrument.

Later I began setting up conventional basses for his tapping technique so he's back to a regular bass instrument for the past few years. Great player too.

Where there is a will there is a way. Keep at it & best of luck & strength to you.

Thanks Hammond.....you're right, where there's a will there's a way. I have a friend who builds electronic kits, he may have some ideas as well. Sounds like your friend really overcome and has done well. It serves to inspire us to achieve beyond what we ever thought we could.
