steve. lots of people complain about the bridge on the jazzmaster and jaguar. there are a lot of remedies out there (lots of people go with a new aftermarket bridge). i have stayed the course with the stock bridge and have just learned to play lighter on the guitar. you can use heavier flat wound strings and this usually works fine. if you are on Facebook there is a ground that is specific to these guitars and how people handle the tricky bridge.
It's part of what the guitars do if you play them hard strumming.

Can swap the bridge for a Mustang bridge and it'll help somewhat and be a lot cheaper than the $300 alternatives FB and other forums love to promote as the only way.

That is what a friend suggested. He said he thinks the individual string saddles on the Mustang bridge are interchangeable to the Jaguar. If so that would be a reasonable fix. I believe you can get all 6 for about $20 bucks.

Steve
