"Ti-Ming" Ancient Chinese Secret...

I don't know how it would be in live situations, but I tried one out Monday. Maple F/B, W/White blocks and cream bindings, electric bass headstock, Fishman preamp/tuners and played really nicely. I thought the bass was going to be nose heavy, but seemed pretty balanced. I just didn't like the factory round wounds. But at $599 W/HSC, it seemed like a cool bass to do the "koom by yaa" thing around the campfire with the others. Any owners?

I have no experience with that model, but do own an Alvarez AE bass model RB30SC. As a straight acoustic it doesn't much volume & projection; one heavy-handed guitarist can easily drown it out.

I have a couple ABG's...a 32" scale, smaller body 5 string, and a much larger body 5 string Dean. Neither is loud enough to keep up with even one acoustic guitar. I have a 15 watt amp rigged for battery use for playing with other acoustic players. It allows me enough volume. <br /> <br /> I used to have a 1/2 scale upright bass. The scale from bridge to nut was 35". The body was far larger than any ABG. It was loud enough acoustically to keep up with ONE acoustic guitar, but if two were playing, they drowned me out.
