Hi guy's/gal's
I have bought a Fender 68 Delux Reverb Siverface
After getting it delivered I found it had a very annoying hiss on both channels and thumping noise when I switch it on to stand'by, I sent it back to Fender in London UK after a phone call from Fender they told me it was all tested and ok,
after it being returned to me,I found it to be same as when I sent it,after ringing Fender again the engineer told me to let it settle down after transportation but a couple of weeks later it was still the same,so I decided to NOT get back intouch with Fender as I lost faith in them. So I have a Fender amp I NEVER use how sad that is.

Try posting this in either the New Fender Amp section or in the Amp Repair section of this forum.
You may get some help on how to address the issues with others who may have experience with this amp.

I will agree that "let the amp settle down" isn't much help.

I don't have any direct experience with this particular amp, however, a "thump" when toggling the Standby switch is pretty normal - just a capacitor discharge and not anything to really worry about.

Not sure about the hissing - could be a lot of things. Do you have any spare tubes you could substitute to see if it's related to those?
