Received Thursday a set of Wilde alnico microcoil pickups for strat. This set does not have adjustable pole pieces like those pictured on the wildepickups.com site. I assume each pole is an alnico magnet.

The A string of the neck pickup is about half the volume of the other strings. I'm thinking maybe that magnet didn't get magnetized correctly and has low gauss.

I've emailed Becky, waiting to hear back.

Wondering if anyone has seen inside one of these and if there might be a fix other than replacement. I checked the polarity of each pole with a compass and the bad one doesn't appear to be flipped. Anything else to check?

Becky called, confirmed that the poles are magnets like original Fender pickups and asked me to return it. Good customer service!

"Received Thursday a set of Wilde alnico microcoil pickups...."

Just curious, how long did you have to wait?

They've been going through some transitions the past year. I ended up cancelling an order after 2 months last year.

Ordered the last week of July so it took nearly 4 months. I saw your thread before ordering and expected it to take a long time.
