I love my 6120DC and have used it onstage a couple of times. My concern is string breakage during a live show. Now, I'm not one who breaks strings on a regular basis, and the ones that have broken were mostly at the bridge on Fender guitars. <br /> <br /> To me, the Gretsch should be less prone to breaking strings. But if it did happen, can you get a string changed quickly with the Bigsby?

Yes, provided you have in your kit a small pair of needle-nose pliers and a capo. Use the pliers to put a J-shaped bend in the ball end of the string. Slip the ball over the retaining pin on the Bigsby, pull the string taut, and install a capo on the neck to keep the string from slipping off the pin. Then attach the string to the tuner post and tighten to pitch as usual.

When I gigged with a Gretsch, my spare strings all were pre-bent at the ball end.<br /> <br /> Made for super-fast string changes when needed.
