NK/MID is a pickup that can be used in either the neck or bridge position.<br /> <br /> BRG is a pickup for the bridge position.<br /> <br /> AGED means the plastic cover is yellowed to simulate an older, vintage pickup.<br /> <br /> NF and MOD I don't know what these mean in this context.

mod may mean modern. The nf nickel formvar wire? Normal Format, non fender. Who knows for sure.

Where did you obtain the abbreviations? That info may help.

The abbreviations come direct from the "Shop Floor Traveler" that Fender Custom Shop provided. I requested this info for a friend but there was no key for the abbreviations.
