The guitar tone is to die for and you have some serious skills...a level I can't achieve...lol...<br /> <br /> What is your recording chain? Software...mics...do you mic amps...use modelers...etc

Thanks Rasmuth, this track was of course mostly cut/paste samples of drums, sax, trumpet, horn stabs. I found a whacky trumpet solo sample that I sliced and diced, changed to proper key. It sounded so absurd that I decided to keep it. Jazz bass DI into Mbox mini into Pro Tools, some preset bass compression/eq, verb. Tele into Boss GT-001 modeler. I used a modified preset, no verb (I added that in the mix). I also added a MIDI triggered organ that is part of the pro tools instrument suite.

it's so awesome to have all this recording technology nowadays...if I had all this crap when I was young and really creative...I might have been dangerous...lol<br />

Yep, I remember being delighted to do pseudo multi-tracking using 2 cassette recorders.
