Somebody please tell me: Were the Jaguar Thinline Re-issues all made in Japan or were there models made in the US and/or Mexico? Also, has anyone playerd one? How does it sound? How does it compare to the Telecaster Thinlines and standard solid body Jaguars

As far as I know, the Jaguar Thinline is Japanese mfg. only, in 3 color sunburst or black, double bound body with f-hole.

The Jazzmaster Thinline is also Japanese made, in black and natural, double bound body, no f-hole.

The guitar is well made, plays well

Compared to AVRI jaguars the pickups have a harsher sound.

Adjusting the pickup heights may reduce that.
"Adjusting the pickup heights may reduce that."

Agree or changing them to AVRI Jazzmaster pickups.
Still on the fence about changing the pickups.

There is a different sound but maybe that's for the good.

Or it could be if I play the thinline before the AVRI its ok but not so good if I play it after.

Its a good problem to have.

:)
