Double Jets cost the same as Pro Jets. Seems like the Pro Jet is a lot more popular, though.

Any Double Jet fans? Thoughts on how it compares to a Pro Jet?

A local dealer has a silver sparkle Pro Jet and a red Double Jet. I've played the Pro Jet, and it's very nice. Have not tried the Double Jet.

I'm out of town now, but hope to try the DJ next week. The dealer is having an anniversary sale, so it might be a good time for an acquisition.

In the meantime - any opinions on the DJ?

To confuse the issue, I'm wondering if one of the new center block models might be worth the extra $.

I have a Pro Jet and a Double Jet. The Pro has Dynasonics and a solid G tailpiece, and the Double has Filtertrons and a Gretsch Bigsby. I love 'em both--they are equally great guitars. Easy to play and lots of useful tones in each one.

Thanks, Peegoo.

I believe both models in the store have blacktop filtertrons. They both have Bigsbys. Might come down to whichever one speaks to me.

One *will* play better and sound better to you.

Bring (or borrow) an A/B box to hot-swap the guitars while playing them into the same amp.

The one thing I discovered to love about a Projet, or a double for that matter are all the small incremental tones available with just the pickup volume knobs.

The guitar truly changes character with small adjustments to either especially when in the center position of the 3 way.

Sometimes I get a tone, and then lose it because I futz with the knobs and it disappears.
