I was recently told by a reliable source that some recent Custom Shop bodies are produced in Mexico and may not have same specs as previous vintage versions (i.e., Time Machine series, etc) that were or are cut in the Corona shop.

Can anyone confirm or deny this?

If you really thought your source was reliable, you wouldn't be asking this question.

just sayin'

Unreliable source. Visited the factory in Corona two weeks ago and all the American series and Custom shop models are made there. Mexican bodies have three piece construction or more, up to seven pieces glued together.
MIM bodies also have special markings under the pickguard, easy to recognize.

I'd be willing to put money down in Las Vegas that your source isn't that reliable. :^)

Your source might be confused by the Baja classic player tele that's CS designed but built in Mexico?
