...oops that should read Amazes me.

This is a McCartney Tribute act and they do an amazing job of this song. The vocal arrangement is a jaw-dropper. The recording's not bad either.

This track, "Dear Boy, was off Mac's RAM album. Considering that it was only him, Linda, and a drummer, on this album it was a stellar and second-to-none performance.

If you are a fan of that album in particular you owe it to yourself to watch all of the videos this band did, Simply incredible. It makes you realize what a genius McCartney is and was in his heyday. Paul's voice, now, is not what it used to be but not many others were that good either. This gave me some perspective.

I think it is "Dear Boy" in which he channels The Beach Boys. Funny thing is that he, with a little help from Linda (could have done it by himself), sounds like The Beach Boys. I listened to "Ram" on Saturday morn, very, very pleasant recording. He had a couple of guitar players help him on it, and of course strings and horns. But it does show what a genius the guy was as a composer, musician and vocalist. He is in his own way up there in talent, what Jeff Beck is to guitar players.
Tried the link above, but it's been bagged by the YouTube police.

What still blows my mind is that fate (or something higher) brought 2 absolute musical geniuses together into one band. (Lennon & McCartney). Those two kids meeting way back in the late 50's I think was an incredible musical gift to the world.

I play in a Beatles tribute band and I think about how good those guys were (Geroge too) all the time! Mind boggling how well they wrote songs.
It's too bad YouTube took that down. McCartney's lawyers want to keep getting paid.
