Just pulled the trigger on my first CS guitar, 60s relic strat in sonic blue, due for delivery tomorrow.

Anyone got any opinions on the pickup combo of Texas Special/Fat 50/CS 69?

The link below is of the actual guitar purchased from UK dealer Peach Ideas. The relic job on this one is quite light and tasteful in my opinion.

Can't wait to get it here and plugged in!

Gazza
I like your taste. I also have a 1960 but mine have some slightly underwound custom 1960 pickups in mine. It's a great Strat. Congratulations and have fun.

Nice guitar. I have different Strats fitted with full sets of Texas Specials/Fat 50s/CS 69s. I'm not very good at describing tone but I don't think you could go wrong with that combination. They are all good pups in their own way. Should be a fun one.

My guitar is a 2011 60s relic, and although it has a 5 way switch, the bridge pup has no tone control wired up, is this correct? (I know it can be adjusted easily with a link wire if required)
